The primary function of the 15ppm bilge separator (Oily water separator) is to separate oil components (hydrocarbons) contained in bilge water on ships and discharge clean effluent overboard in compliance with IMO Resolution MEPC.107(49).

The 15ppm bilge separator features a three-stage treatment process. In the first stage, a CPR module removes oil components by gravity separation. In the second stage, a coalescer filter eliminates fine oil particles. Finally, a membrane filter in the third stage adsorbs emulsified oil components (hydrocarbons).
